I didn't realize that my spread sheet for income earned through surveys etc wasn't set to public. I fixed that and it is viewable here or by using the links under Google documents.

The only thing on the spreadsheet now is jury duty, because I am only keeping track for 2009.

This spread sheet is going to include all non-work related income earned.

I have a FORMER friend that is quit pathetic actually who mocked the fact I do surveys, coupon heavily, stockpile things that are free or cheap, watch where I spend money, want to work, in spite of the fact that my husband has a fairly decent job. To me it is just common sense to save money and not waste it when you don't need too... Of course this person is one of those people who are in their late 20s, married, refuses to work, make babies they can't afford, has an immature husband who refuses to look for a good job and depend on their parents for boarding and see nothing wrong with it.

I feel that once you hit a certain milestone in life aka marriage you should not expect others to support you for the rest of your life. It is okay for occasional help, but not dependence. Once you decide to make several adult decisions you should learn to live like an adult.

There is a difference between asking for help and dependence. My husband and I have had a ton of help from my parents doing things around our home. They have TAUGHT us so much in the way of do it yourself home repairs, which is a true bargain, especially when your father and husband are perfectionists. Our house will be remodeled at a higher quality than any contractor can do because the people doing the work actually care about the outcome.

Dependence is not having a plan for independence and expecting financial support and boarding for life. Making irresponsible decisions constantly by going into debt, not responsibly using birth control regularly if you can not afford children, and putting your WANTS over your children's needs or the needs of establishing a plan to be independent.

Any way sorry for the vent, but hence she was the reason for wanting to track how much I make doing things that are not work related.

Well Vanessa,
When you take a great trip with your family next time on your "extra" money. I'd let her know that your "Couponing and wise spending" has paid for you and your family to relax a bit. Don't let her get to you. You are doing great! I wish I had more time to do something like that. :)

Thanks Betsy! I just don't understand some people! I just don't want to raise a kid like her...I hope we teach DS the value of a dollar!
